AI Prompting for Everyone

How we prompt AI models today is very different from when ChatGPT first came out in 2022. As these tools have become more capable, the people who know how to use them well are getting significantly more done. Whatever your current skill level, these videos are designed to help you get a lot more out of AI in your daily work and life.

Taught by AI pioneer Andrew Ng, you’ll learn how to effectively use modern AI for the main things people use it for: finding information, brainstorming and writing, and working with multimedia and code.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

• Finding Information: The more you understand how AI models find and use information, the better you’ll get at knowing what to ask and how. You’ll learn what’s already baked into a model’s knowledge, when to use web search, and when deep research mode is the right tool for the job.
• AI as a Thought Partner: You’ll learn how to give AI the right context so it understands what you need, how to brainstorm more effectively, and how to get AI to push back honestly rather than just tell you what you want to hear. You’ll also learn how to write with AI efficiently, without the output sounding like a robot.
• Working with Multimedia and Code: You’ll explore using images in your prompts, generating visuals, and building simple games, websites, and apps with AI. No coding experience needed. Along the way you’ll encounter flying squirrels, a creativity test, some of Andrew’s old family photos, and fireworks.

Anyone who uses AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini in their daily work or personal life and wants to get meaningfully better results. No technical background required.

This course is a great next step if you’ve already taken Generative AI for Everyone or ChatGPT Prompt Engineering for Developers, but there are absolutely no prerequisites to jump right in.
