Born in southwest Germany, Steffen Konrath studied business administration with a focus on marketing and computer science. Steffen is fascinated with trying to find the truth beneath the surface and data paves the way for him. After creating numerous digital products, he founded a startup of his own; evAI Intelligence uses AI to decode hidden market signals in text. 

How did you become a part of the DeepLearning.AI community? 

A couple of years ago, I started AI Suisse in Zurich. My mission is to bring together like-minded people, create an atmosphere of mutual respect and friendship, and dig into how AI can be applied across industries. When I came across the DeepLearning.AI Event Ambassador program, it seemed like the perfect culture fit.

What has the experience of being an Event Ambassador experience been like for you?

Even with the pandemic, we’ve been able to come together virtually for fantastic presentations on topics ranging from natural language processing to track social distancing using computer vision. We’ve had subject matter experts not only bring their success stories but also open up about their challenges and failures. Through the Pie & AI meetups, I’m able to continue and promote the curiosity of our profession, the will to learn more, and the passion to share our stories.
