Kareem Negm is a part-time AI engineer and the first ambassador of Deeplearning.AI in Egypt. He also studied AI at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence KFS university in Egypt.

Why did you become a DeepLearning.AI Event Ambassador?

KN: I was inspired after completing the leading-edge specializations by DeepLearning.AI on Coursera and wanted to be a part of the community. Being in the community has allowed me to get closer and learn from my amazing peers!

Tell us about your experience as an Event Ambassador for the DeepLearning.AI community.

KN: Over the past year, I have hosted 7 events with the IEEEKUSB team. We delivered high-impact and excellent AI content to more than 2000+ students across 20 countries in the presence of trustworthy data scientists and AI engineers. These experiences have taught me about AI and its ability to change the world.

What have you learned and gained from this experience?

KN: As an ambassador, I met some incredible people and learned from their experiences. I undertook the Specializations offered by DeepLearning.AI, which allowed me to expand my knowledge about the ML field. I am proud to be an event ambassador for the DeepLearning.AI community.

Tamara Koliada

Tamara Koliada is a passionate Data Scientist and founder of ADMA Solutions, where she offers a combination of high-level hardware research and manufacturing, software development, and consulting. Additionally, she runs Developer Circle, an education and skill-sharing group supported by Facebook in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Why did you become a DeepLearning.AI Event Ambassador?

TK: Like many other Data Scientists, I started my professional path with Introduction to Machine Learning by Dr. Andrew Ng. After that, I took the Deep Learning Specialization by DeepLearning.AI. I joined DeepLearning.AI’s community so I could help more developers like me with their career paths. Kyiv has a vibrant group of people interested in AI / ML, so connecting them with the fantastic DeepLearning.AI community seemed natural.

Tell us about your experience as an Event Ambassador for the DeepLearning.AI community

TK: As an ambassador, I have organized online study groups about ML and Deep Learning with over 300 participants and about 10 webinars and meetups. I hosted a workshop with Facebook AI Research (FAIR) on embodied agent navigation using deep learning, which was my highlight.

What have you learned and gained from this experience?

TK: Being an ambassador has allowed me to learn from experts and grow professionally. Being part of this community has been one of the best ways to connect with experts in the industry, get inspired, and build a network to help Ukraine influence technological trends.
